While you’re on a role… Keep selling!

They say after you have a win in sales to keep going and you will continue to see success.

Being in sales and knowing how difficult it can be at times, I certainly have noticed the above statement true. After you see success, you seem to walk a little differently, you’ve got a spring in your step and a smile on your face. It’s like it can’t be held back. On the average day slogging it out though, it’s so easy to start to feel tired and to let the pressures and knock backs change the way you walk.

You have to start taking control of your ‘walk’ and how you carry yourself if you want to be successful in the long run. I talk to so many people that wear their hearts on their sleeve and whinge about this and that. We need to rise above and hold ourselves in a positive, energetic manner. We can’t let circumstances dictate how we interact with people.

See below some little keys for maintaining positivity through your day.

  • Gratitude – take the time to recognise what you are grateful for.
  • Breathing – in high stress and distracted environments our breathing goes out the window. Take the time to take a few nice deep breathes and recalibrate.
  • Meditation – as silly as this sounds. Take the time to meditate even if it’s in the middle of the day. Find a space where you can close your eyes and breathe or just get out of the office and go for a walk. You’d be shocked at how much time you can save by spending 5-10minutes in meditation.

Yes it is easier to keep winning sales after a win, but if we can manage our emotional state better, this shouldn’t matter as much. You’ll start to even out your high’s and low’s and start producing consistently higher results.
