The importance of connection

You can buy a the best TV you can find, but if you don’t connect it to power, it’s useless. You can be the nicest person in the world, but if you aren’t connecting with others what’s the point?

I feel it’s a crazy time we live in with so much distraction going on around us. Companies are trying to grab every little bit of attention we have available. We have devices that allow us to be more connected than ever, but are we really? We live in a world that almost demands us to have more, bigger, better, because that is what will make us happier! Only we find more marriages falling apart, higher rates of depression, anxiety and suicide.

What if we just stopped this pursuit of more, more, more and put our phones down to actually talk to someone? What if we really started to connect with people? It’s within our power and it’s what we were created for. If you really think about it, what is the point of this life if we aren’t connecting with others. While we’re at it, we may as well create meaningful connections.

We can’t all change the world, but we can change the world around us and we can change someone else’s world.
