Riding the Camino for the SHE Rescue Home

I have decided to ride the Camino de Santiago as a part of the SHE Rescue Home Fundraiser. This cause has always been close to my heart and I am super excited to go on this adventure across the Camino trail in efforts to raise more money and awareness for such an important cause.

I saw this trip advertised and I immediately wanted to jump in! I was excited ride along the camino as it’s been on my bucket list for a few years now, but more than that I was super excited to raise money for the SHE Rescue Home and increase awareness for the cause.

The SHE Rescue Home in Cambodia started 10 years ago with a primary focus to provide a high standard of care in our after-care shelter that cares for young girls aged 5-16 years who have suffered the injustices of sexual assault, prostitution and human trafficking. In our care girls are provided with counselling, medical care, education, vocational training and lots of love!

To date there have been 65 girls come into our care! We are currently financially supporting 48 girls and 3 babies – either in care or reintegrated.

From seeing what the SHE Rescue Home is doing for such young girls in horrible circumstances it’s a reminder that we can make a difference. We don’t all have to go out and start our own ‘rescue home’ or ’cause’, but we can choose to support those who are already giving their lives towards making a difference in this world.

If you would like to support me in raising money for the She Rescue Home, please click on the link below to donate.  (please note that I have fully funded my trip and all donations go towards the SHE Rescue Home)
