Is your ladder leaning on the right building?

If the ladder is not leaning against the right wall, every step we take just gets us to the wrong place faster.” – Stephen R. Covey

We expend so much time, energy and money investing into our future. If we’re not careful we can easily find ourselves heading in the wrong direction. Before we invest too much, it’s a good idea to give it some deep thought and even seek a third party for trusted advice. There may not be a right or wrong answer as to what you pursue in this life, but there is something within all of us that certainly rings true and brings us alive. I touched on this yesterday, check out If I could only achieve this, it would be… for more.

I have a few beliefs around this matter, the first being we learn from our mistakes and there is no conventional path to ‘success’, rather an individual journey we all have to take to get there. The second belief is, the more we know ourselves and can learn from other peoples mistakes, we have the opportunity to accelerate our ‘success’. The third belief is, we already have ‘success’. We need to appreciate what we have, what we’ve achieved thus far and not always be searching for more and more.

At the end of the day, carry a spirit of gratitude and continually get to know yourself better. You have everything you need.
