We are all human. We’re not always feeling our best. We’re not always ready to take on the world and all it’s challenges, but we’re all made the same. It’s what we do when we are not feeling our best though that will define us.
Granted we all need rest, we all need days to clear our mind and achieve nothing. Make a choice in those moments, if need be, to give yourself a break. However, as a regular practice, we need to learn to change our state. We need to learn to shift our physiology. There are many ways to do this and the best thing you can do is find a few strategies that suit you for different occasions.
There are breathing methods that work fantastic, getting in some exercise is another method that is a no brainer. Whether it’s pumping out some squats and pushups or going for a short run. Another method is cold exposure. There is nothing like an ice cold bath or cold shower to get your senses going. The point is that when you aren’t quite feeling up to it, you can do something about it. It is hard though, exercise isn’t what we generally feel like doing when we are unmotivated. It is what separates the good from the great.
Dig deep. Push in. Change your state.
