You have enough, but the world tells you need more.
The world will tell you that you need that latest and greatest and that you will never be happy until you do. We all know we don’t need it but we want it, we sell ourselves on why it would make our lives better. We are bombarded with advertisements that have been personalised based on our internet searches. We are chosen as their target market and they won’t relent, not even after we buy.
We need to start the process of finding contentment in what we have already, in life itself. If can carry a spirit of gratitude we stop hearing and seeing all the noise around us about what we need. If you don’t know where to start, just start by writing down three things you are grateful for each day and you’ll be surprised.
It’s not to say we can’t buy new things and to enjoy them, rather to be content in what we already have to avoid a lifestyle of seeking new things to fill a void of gratitude.
You have enough.
